Privacy Policy

OVERVIEW:
This Privacy Policy covers Dotlycom treatment of personally identifiable information that is collected when the subscribers agree to receive e-mail advertising messages from the Company or one of the Company’s advertisers. This type of agreement on behalf of a subscriber constitutes a permission-based opt-in.

The Company believes in 100% permission-based marketing and is compliant with the CAN- SPAM Act of 2003.

OPT-IN PROCEDURES
In order for a subscriber to be considered opted-in he/she must agree to provide their email address and mandatory personal information to Dotlycom, including first name, name, postal address and telephone number. Additionally, the subscribers can volunteer additional personal demographic information, such as age, income, gender, occupation, presence of credit card(s), presence of children and dwelling type. The last step in the opt-in process is the indication of lifestyle preference, which is also optional.

After the initial opt-in, each subscriber receives an automatic responder message (ARM), acknowledging the opt-in and informing them that they would be receiving a follow up, online based lifestyles survey. This survey acts as the 3rd step of the permission-gathering process (2nd level opt-in) and is designed to gather psychographic information on each subscriber who decides to participate. The final step is the confirmation of all gathered information against the Company’s 260 million US consumers and 14 million business postal database. The postal confirmation acts as a verification tool, making sure that the consumers are truthfully matched to their most current postal address and that the phone number given during the initial opt-in is an accurate one.

OPT-OUT METHODOLOGY
A consumer may unsubscribe from any of our e-mail marketing programs at any time. Each email communication sent from the Company contains at least 2 opt-out vehicles, identified as hyperlinks or physical addresses of the advertisers or list owner. Additionally, the Company’s advertising partner may insert an opt-out hyperlink as well. Therefore, not only is opting out seamless and quick, it is also in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.

The Company attempts to process all unsubscribe requests in a prompt fashion. However, after unsubscribing, we cannot guarantee that a consumer will never receive another mailing from us, because we may obtain the consumer’s e-mail address in the future through a different e-mail marketing program that the consumer has opted into. We can guarantee, however, that if the consumer should ever receive another e-mail communication from the Company, the consumer will be able to remove his or her e-mail address via the unsubscribe hyperlink. All opt-outs are processed no later than 72 hours after the original request submission.

SOURCES OF OPT-IN DATA
This Privacy Policy also applies to consumers that have agreed to receive e-mail marketing from the Company, whether at the Company’s website, via e-mail, via third party partner websites or otherwise.
